The Active Ageing group class is a government subsidised program for over-65s which provides 12 weeks of individualized exercise sessions supervised by an Accredited Exercise Physiologist.
All sessions target participant’s cardiovascular fitness, muscular strength and endurance, mobility, and balance exercises specific to each individual’s needs. The program involves a pre-assessment to determine your baseline fitness, 12 weeks of hour-long sessions (plus a free class), and a post-assessment to measure your progress at the completion of the program.
Cost
Pre-assessment – $5.50 (30 mins)
12 supervised sessions (plus one free trial) – $8 each (60 mins)
Post-assessment – Free (30 mins)
